Studio Promo Video

Andy Cahill, came to us because he wanted to show off his studio hire facilities through the use of a promotional video. It was key to Andy that as soon as potential clients visit his Prostudiohire.co.uk website, they are immediately drawn in by the studio space and breadth of equipment. After discussing a few different ideas we finally decided on doing a dolly shot that would show the cove in use. This would allow us to show off the studio, and the equipment, in a natural way, as it’s being used.

Pro Studio Hire – Website Loop

The main goal for the day was to capture this cove rotation shot. We used a losmandy spider dolly and shot the camera at 60fps, slowing it down in post-production to 30fps, to allow the viewer to take in more of the scene. This amount of slow motion always looks so gracious, it’s just taking that edge off the real time playback, that would feel too rushed.

Equipment

We opted for the C100 MKii, our fantastic in-house camera that constantly delivers for us. After using the Canon CN-E’s lenses a few months ago, we knew that they would be perfect for this shoot. The lenses hold the focus really well when wide open. This allowed us to really push the depth of field and create much more cinematic looking shots.
